We Chose to Go

The Apollo moon missions were some of the greatest accomplishments of modern society, but as time has passed some have started to doubt the validity of our historical accounts. This project is the result of a mixing of unlikely ideas and images to form a unified composition. The base image is an Apollo lunar lander, and I built a loose narrative from that foundation to paint a grim and skeptic picture of the Apollo moon missions.

Did we actually go? What did we really find? Why haven't we gone back?

The first image was created from real imagery, and the second was made with amateur 3D renders I made. How hard is it to construct a fake reality with modern technology, and how easy is it to make people believe it?
